in which food is still puzzling
So I’ve become a tea-drinker, but I don’t understand the beans-on-toast thing. Haven’t had it so I suppose I wouldn’t know, but it seems a very weird thing to be a staple of anyone’s diet.
No, what’s weird now is the nutrition facts you get on food here. I suppose I shouldn’t expect they’d be the same as in America, since it was legislation of some kind that required them in the first place and of course that would differ from government to government. But at least American nutrition facts tell you pretty much everything you need to know about the food. These give calories and ingredients, but not a lot else—they’re just sort of not helpful at all. It’s weird.
